This is the final post on Minimal Mac. This project contains what I believe in when it comes to a mindful and intentional approach to technology. After nearly 2,500 posts, I have nothing more to add to what has already been said. As I wrote in my book enough, saying no is actually saying yes to other things. You can save a lot of clutter from viewing in the Mac OS X dock by making apps smaller as your own Dock icon. Yes, we’ve covered this hint before, but it was by changing the minimization behavior on the command line, I find it much easier to do these tricks through the GUI whenever possible.

Note that this is a feature that was added to Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) and will continue in all future and modern macOS releases such as High Sierra, Sierra, El Capitan, Mavericks, etc. instead of the default string method.

All newer versions of Mac OS X continue to support this easy Dock Preferences approach.
